Food & Drink
Expect a full weekend of Carlow and Irish food — trade stalls from local producers and makers, sampling from our own shop suppliers, and a grazing table featuring Coppenagh's own beef, pork and bacon alongside pantry favourites from the shop. Look out for Skillet & Spice, Coolattin Cheddar, Freezin' Friesian ice cream, The Chocolate Garden and more across the weekend.
The Wine Bar
We're running a wine bar for the festival, pouring Callie's Mate wines — red, white, rosé and crémant. Coppenagh is proud to be Callie's Mate's first Irish stockist, and the wine bar is your chance to try the full range in one sitting.
Talks & Panels
Across both days we're hosting three panel discussions, each running three times a day with time for audience questions:
- Carlow on a Plate - the past, present and future of food in Carlow, with historians, producers and researchers tracing how we got here and where we're going.
- From Field to Fork - the people behind Carlow's food, from farmer to butcher to chef, following the real journey your dinner takes before it reaches the plate.
- Does Local Food Really Matter? -a lively, accessible debate on what "local" actually means, and whether it's worth the price - for producers, retailers and shoppers alike.
