We’re thrilled to now stock Callie’s Mate Wine at Coppenagh House Farm – and proud to be their first Irish stockist.

Handcrafted in Sainte Terre, a small village outside St Emilion in Bordeaux, Callie’s Mate is the passion project of Andrew and Constance, a couple we met during a stay in their French Gîte nearly two years ago. What started as a chance connection has turned into something really special – and we’re delighted to bring their beautiful wines to our corner of Carlow.

Their vineyard is small (just 7 hectares) with only 3 hectares under vine, and is carefully managed with biodiversity in mind. Surrounded by pastureland and a small lake, nature is encouraged to thrive – and it shows in the quality of their wine.

The name Callie’s Mate was inspired by two dogs – Callie, a Vizsla, and George, a Bearded Collie – who first met on Hackney Marshes in London. Their bond led Andrew and Constance to a new life in France, making wine with soul, story, and connection.
